On February 4th, Beijing time, the price of TV LCD panels has risen for eight consecutive months. The price of large-size LCD panels used in TVs is continuing to rise. Judging from the discounted price of the Open Cell (semi-finished product without backlight) as an indicator, the price of 55 inches has risen by US8 (5 percent ) from December 2020 to about US183 per block. 32 inches also rose by 3 (5 percent ) to around 67. It has risen for eight consecutive months, reaching its highest level in about three years.

In the context of extended home life, with the United States as the center, TV sales on e-commerce websites have increased and demand is strong. On the other hand, as panel components such as semiconductors and glass substrates are in short supply due to production failures of enterprises, the willingness of panel manufacturers to purchase is still strong.

Yoshio Tamura, the Asian representative of DSCC, a survey company in the United States, said, "Although the price increase is showing a gradual shrinking trend, it should continue to increase in the future."
